The City of Rohnert Park contracts with Recology to perform curbside refuse, recycling and compost pickup from the residents and businesses of the City, 5 days a week, excluding some holidays (see below). Your blue recycling bin and green compost bin are picked up every week on your trash day. View the Pick-Up Schedule for your street's collection day. Recology can be reached by telephone at (800) 243-0291 or www.recology.com.
Holidays
Recology provides garbage service Monday through Saturday every week, except for the following holidays: New Years Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. When these holidays fall on a weekday, garbage service will be delayed one day. For example, if a holiday falls on a Tuesday, regular Tuesday customers will receive refuse collection on Wednesday, and Wednesday customers will receive refuse collection on Thursday, etc. Friday customers will have their pickup on Saturday. Regular service resumes the week following the holiday. Any holiday not mentioned does not affect the pickup schedule.
Refuse Billing
Refuse charges are determined by the size of the garbage can/dumpster serviced at the property. Permanent and temporary debris boxes or compactors are billed according to the tons of refuse collected by the garbage company.
To open a garbage account, report a missed pickup, request new cans or change the size of your trash can, please contact Recology at (800) 243-0291. A Customer Service Representative can help you with any questions or concerns regarding garbage, recycling, yard waste, and street sweeping.
