The City of Rohnert Park is pleased to partner with Coro Northern California to launch the no-cost second class of Leadership Rohnert Park! Leadership Rohnert Park is the opportunity for you to develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and network to become a community leader in Rohnert Park. Or, if you’re already a leader, Leadership Rohnert Park will help you ‘up your game’ to be more effective.

Coro is the premiere national organization dedicated to leadership development. They have helped thousands of participants build collaborative, results-oriented leadership skills. Coro leadership programs bring diverse people together to examine issues and create a stronger, more resilient civic infrastructure. Through experiential learning, Coro training equips people with the skills, knowledge, and networks to collaborate and accelerate positive change wherever they are. Trainers from Coro will guide up to 24 participants through 8 full-day experiences, some evening work sessions, and a collaborative group project to address a local challenge.

The first year of Leadership Rohnert Park was a resounding success. One of the participants has since been elected to the City Council, and three have been appointed to City Commissions. Others have increased their role as community leaders in other ways, see LRP Success.

Most trainings are held on the second Friday of each month and include some required evening sessions, with dates to be determined. Sessions are full days, including one half day, typically 8:30 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. Applications are due Monday, July 12, 2021. Please e-mail dschwartz@rpcity.org with any questions. Applications are due Monday, July 12, 2021.
