City of Rohnert Park utility customers can pay water and sewer bills in several ways: Cash, Check, MasterCard or Visa credit card, automatic debits from bank accounts, and online.  See below for how to pay your bill in the way that's most convenient.

NOTE: The City of Rohnert Park will be transitioning from bi-monthly to monthly billing this summer.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PAYMENTS DURING OUR TRANSITION

  • ACH Payments - If your account is set up for automatic payments from your bank account (ACH), your payment for the June bill will be drawn from your bank account on June 15, 2023. If the City has received an updated ACH Authorization form from you, future monthly automatic payments will be drawn from your bank account starting in August. ACH payments will be drawn on the regular, monthly due date: the 5th of each month, or the next business day if the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday.
  • Automatic CC Payments - If your account was set up for automatic payments from a credit card, your payment for the June bill will NOT be charged to your credit card. You will need to make your payment manually: by mailing in check, bringing in your payment to City Hall, or making a payment online on our new customer payment portal after June 20, 2023. You will also be able to set up automatic credit card payments on the new payment portal.
  • Online Payment Portal unavailable from June 8th through June 19th - Our existing payment portal will be inactivated on June 8, 2023. The new portal will be available after June 20, 2023. The new portal will require your new utility account number and customer ID number, which will not be printed on the June 2023 bill. Customers can contact the Utility Department after June 20th to receive their new account and customer ID numbers. The new numbers will also be on utility bills beginning in July 2023.
  • In-Person Payments - During the transition period from June 8 through June 19, the City will NOT be able to take any cash or credit card payments in-person, over the phone, or online. Checks can be accepted during the transition period, but they will not be posted to your account or cashed until the week of June 20. As of June 20, the City will be able to accept all forms of payment as usual.

Pay Automatically from Bank Account

The City of Rohnert Park is pleased to offer Automatic Clearing House (ACH) payments for your City utility bills.  If you choose to have this service, our bank will debit your checking or savings bank account for your water/sewer bill at no charge.  All accounts will be debited on the fifteenth (15th) day, or the next business day, of the even months for the bi-monthly amount due.

NOTE: Effective July 2023, the City of Rohnert Park will be transitioning from bi-monthly to monthly billing. The July invoice will be the first monthly invoice. Residents using the ACH service will be required to complete a new ACH application, authorizing monthly bank debits to coincide with our new monthly billing cycle.

A service fee of $25.00 will be charged on any direct payment returned unpaid.

The City of Rohnert Park is pleased to offer online payments for your City utility bills.  Online payments provide customers the ability to view their utility bills over a secure Internet connection and make payments at their convenience.  Customers can also view comprehensive, up-to-date account information, billing, and payment history, in addition to printing out an invoice and making a payment.
