The Public Safety Community Academy offers community members an inside look at local law enforcement and fire protection.
The academy covers topics like patrol, investigations, traffic safety, records management, firefighting, and fire prevention. Participants learn hands-on skills like de-escalation and CPR.
The free course is open to eligible participants aged 18 and above, with a limited background check.
The class typically meets Wednesday evenings, 6-8pm. Applications will be reviewed for eligibility, and qualified candidates will be placed on the class roster on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to 15 attendees
