ALICIA GIUDICE
Director of Development Services
Alicia joined the City in December 2023 and oversees the Development Services Department which includes Planning, Building, Housing and Homelessness, and Code Compliance.
Alicia has a bachelors degree in city and regional planning from Cal Poly State University. She is AICP certified by the American Planning Association and stays updated on current trends in planning, municipal management and human resources issues through her active membership in ICMA, APA, Calpelra, MMANC. Alicia’s experience includes project development review, environmental review and developing policy in areas that include: land use, housing, and utility/infrastructure uses in the public right-of-way.
Alicia has over 25 years of municipal government experience and has served municipalities in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa counties. Prior to joining the City of Rohnert Park, Alicia oversaw the City of San Rafael Community Development Department. Alicia prides herself in developing cross-department partnerships to get things done. She finds inspiration in others that are passionate about public service and with this shared passion and partnerships has accomplished the following:

Improved development review processes thus reducing time and costs associated with process planning and building permits.

Partnering with local building collaboratives to conduct a self-assessment of department operations and through this assessment improved department operations and received best in county accolades by the local builders.

Assessed the performance review process and implemented a process that encourages staff development and opportunities for internal staff growth development and retention.

Establishing criteria for allowing structures in the public right of way that respond to state and federal regulations while addressing community needs.
Alicia has been a resident of Rohnert Park for more than two decades. When she is not busy thinking about public services you will find her gardening, strolling around town with her husband, or in the middle of a lake somewhere enjoying the presence of her family and friends.
