The City of Rohnert Park is transitioning from bi-monthly to monthly billing in July 2023!
Monthly billing is standard for most utilities and businesses, and provides more timely information about water usage.

NEW BILLING SCHEDULE:

  • You will receive your final bi-monthly bill in June 2023, covering water and sewer usage in April and May. Your will receive your first monthly water/sewer bill in July 2023, covering usage in the month of June.
  • Monthly bills will be due on the 5th of each month (or next business day if the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday).

NEW ONLINE CUSTOMER PAYMENT PORTAL:

  • The City will be moving to a new online payment portal. The new portal will be available after June 20, 2023.
  • Customers will need to register on our new online customer portal in order to receive email bills, view their account online, pay online or set up automatic payments by credit card.
  • Your future bills will have a new account number and customer ID number. These new numbers will be necessary for making payments on the new online portal.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PAYMENTS DURING OUR TRANSITION

  • ACH Payments - If your account is set up for automatic payments from your bank account (ACH), your payment for the June bill will be drawn from your bank account on June 15, 2023. If the City has received an updated ACH Authorization form from you, future monthly automatic payments will be drawn from your bank account starting in August. ACH payments will be drawn on the regular, monthly due date: the 5th of each month, or the next business day if the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday.
  • Automatic CC Payments - If your account was set up for automatic payments from a credit card, your payment for the June bill will NOT be charged to your credit card. You will need to make your payment manually: by mailing in check, bringing in your payment to City Hall, or making a payment online on our new customer payment portal after June 20, 2023. You will also be able to set up automatic credit card payments on the new payment portal.
  • Online Payment Portal unavailable from June 8th through June 19th - Our existing payment portal will be inactivated on June 8, 2023. The new portal will be available after June 20, 2023. The new portal will require your new utility account number and customer ID number, which will not be printed on the June 2023 bill. Customers can contact the Utility Department after June 20th to receive their new account and customer ID numbers. The new numbers will also be on utility bills beginning in July 2023.
  • In-Person Payments - During the transition period from June 8 through June 19, the City will NOT be able to take any cash or credit card payments in-person, over the phone, or online. Checks can be accepted during the transition period, but they will not be posted to your account or cashed until the week of June 20. As of June 20, the City will be able to accept all forms of payment as usual.
