City Updates

Rohnert Park businesses, we'd like to draw your attention to a couple resources you might find helpful as we continue to wrestle with the virus.

First, attached are flyers regarding free local testing; please share this information frequently with your employees and customers, and strongly encourage their participation. Related to this, we will soon have information on testing that you may be able to arrange at your location and will share that with you when it is available.

Second, the CURA (COVID-19 Urgent Response and Aid) Project is offering an on-site training program known as CHARLA for employees and supervisors to support the highest level of COVID-19 safety in the workplace. Developed with health care professionals, a CHARLA session consists of:
  • A 40 minute on-site orientation for workers on COVID-19 and how to take greter responsibility for preventing the spread of the epidemic
  • An online training of field supervisors to learn how to be watchful for signs or symptoms of the virus and how to safeguard other works
  • Assignment of a trained health care advocate who is regularly available to answer any questions that designated supervisors may have
  • Automated text messaging sent to employees and those with whom they live about how to guard against the virus at home. (This is important because the spread of COVID-19 occurs primarily in the home environment which can spread to the worksite.
TIMING OF SESSIONS: 40-minute CHARLA sessions should be conducted with an audience of no more than 20 employees at a time. It is possible to scheduled multiple sessions in a day for different worker shifts or multiple sessions in a week depending on your company's needs.

To schedule a session, you can contact Gabriel Sanders at 239-1958 or [email protected]
