Rohnert Park City Council is Seeking Applicants for the City’s
Sister Cities Relations Committee
The Rohnert Park City Council is seeking applications from Rohnert Park residents to fill one current vacancy on the City’s Sister Cities Relations Committee for a term to expire on December 31, 2024. The appointment will be made by Mayor Samantha Rodriguez.
The Sister Cities Relations Committee fosters international understanding and friendship through exchanges of people, artifacts and ideas with citizens of foreign cities and to develop an increased appreciation of cultural diversity in order to better understand one’s own culture. Rohnert Park’s sister city is Hashimoto, Japan. Committee meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 4 pm.
Current Rohnert Park residents are eligible. Preference is given to residents indicating an interest in an opportunity to discover that people of all ages are basically alike and have common interests whatever their language, culture, or color of their skin and that the desire for peace is universal and the interest in learning from one another is widespread.

El Concejo Municipal de Rohnert Park está buscando solicitudes de los residentes de Rohnert Park para llenar una vacante en el Comité de Relaciones de Ciudades Hermanas de la Ciudad que expirará el 31 de Diciembre de 2024. El nombramiento será realizado por la Alcaldesa Samantha Rodriguez.
El Comité de Relaciones de Ciudades Hermanas fomenta el entendimiento y la amistad internacionales a través del intercambio de personas, artefactos e ideas con ciudadanos de ciudades extranjeras y para desarrollar una mayor apreciación de la diversidad cultural para comprender mejor la propia cultura. La ciudad hermana de Rohnert Park es Hashimoto, Japón. El comité se reúne el segundo Jueves de cada mes a las 4 pm.
Los residentes de Rohnert Park son elegibles. Se da preferencia a los residentes que indiquen tener un interés en la oportunidad de descubrir que las personas de todas las edades son básicamente iguales y tienen intereses comunes cualquiera que sea su idioma, cultura o color de piel y que el deseo de paz es universal y el interés en aprender de unos a otros están muy extendidos.
